Fathers
Father in Heaven,
Thank You for fathers
Who are Your beloved sons.
May they be loving and wise
As they seek to provide and protect
The children You have entrusted to them
Each with distinct purpose and unique passions.
Grant them the character and capacity
To build a family where their daughters and sons
Build confidence, receive comfort, and confront challenges.
May their homes be a safe harbor in the chaos of life.
May they be men marked by intentionality
Investing the best of who they are
Into who their children are becoming.
We ask for You to heal the wounds
Where fathers have failed,
And restore the places within those we love
Of shame, absence, neglect, and harm.
May the faith of our fathers
Not only be heard in their words,
But in the fidelity of their lives—
In boardrooms and backyards,
On sidelines and in sanctuaries.
Raise up fathers who reflect Your heart—
Who reject passivity and choose responsibility,
Who lead with selfless love and pursue You with passion.
We ask that You turn and return
The hearts of fathers to their children,
The hearts of children to their fathers,
And the hearts of both would find rest in You.
We bless our fathers,
Mentors, and all men,
Who have modeled for us
The priceless security of being the Beloved.
