Aurora Faith Engagement
Aurora Faith Engagement is a pilot project designed to come alongside the broader, collaborative initiatives working to address homelessness in Aurora.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Churches want to help.
The pathway isn't always clear.
Too often, efforts to serve those experiencing homelessness remain disconnected from the broader system of care — despite significant willingness from local congregations.
Programs are consistently:
Disconnected from the broader system of care.
Difficult to sustain without clear pathways or partnerships.
Under-leveraged despite significant willingness from local congregations.
Service providers across Aurora have clearly defined needs but limited capacity to engage and coordinate with individual churches.
WHAT WE DO
Aurora Faith Engagement serves as an
activator of effective church engagement.
We translate willingness into action, and action into lasting impact.
01
Listening and Learning
We spend time with local churches to understand their heart, capacity, and current engagement — meeting you where you are.
02
Aligning with System Needs
We work closely with frontline organizations and community partners to identify where church involvement can have the greatest impact.
03
Creating Clear Pathways
We translate opportunities into clear, accessible pathways — removing the guesswork so churches can step in with confidence.
04
Supporting Ongoing Engagement
We walk alongside churches as they step in, helping ensure their involvement is sustainable, collaborative, and deeply connected.
A Collective Effort
Real change happens when Churches, Nonprofits,
Funders, and Local Leaders are moving in the same direction.
Aurora Faith Engagement is part of a broader, collaborative vision to reduce homelessness across the city of Aurora. This initiative exists to help churches fully participate in that shared work — bringing their unique strengths into alignment with a collective strategy.
FOR CHURCHES
If you're a pastor or church leader in Aurora, Aurora Faith Engagement wants to support you — whether you're just beginning to explore engagement or already serving in the community.
Our hope is that this initiative creates clear pathways for congregations to meaningfully engage in collaborative efforts to care for and reduce the number of our neighbors experiencing homelessness.
We'd love to connect
