Sarah Fitzgerald
Sarah Fitzgerald is a Denver-based artist and designer who loves bringing ideas to life through painting, illustration, and design. With over a decade of experience in design firms and publishing, she’s always been driven by a passion for visual storytelling. Originally from small-town Ohio, she’s lived and worked coast to coast before putting down roots in Colorado. A Cum Laude graduate of the University of Cincinnati’s DAAP program, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Design.
Sarah is active in her community, showing work in juried exhibitions and creating art that sparks connection. When she’s not in the studio, you’ll likely find her in the garden, on the tennis court, or cheering on her husband and three kids. She’s excited to keep growing, sharing, and finding new ways for her art to meet the world.
My work grows out of a deep respect for the natural world and the quiet ways it mirrors our own inner lives. In my landscapes, I explore places both real and imagined—deserts, mountains, skies, and winding paths that offer refuge and reflect the shifting terrain we all move through. In my botanical pieces, I’m drawn to the quiet poetry of transformation—how growth often happens slowly, almost invisibly, yet becomes something extraordinary over time. My animal-inspired work honors the connections between humans and other creatures, capturing small, tender moments that remind us of our shared wonder and vulnerability. Through all of it, I hope to create a sense of belonging and awe, and to invite people to pause and see themselves in the living world around them.
