You are invited to close your eyes, take a deep breath, and listen.

When we wake into God’s vast creation,
May we listen and pay attention to what we hear: 
birds chirping, water running, wind rushing—
but also what we don’t want to hear:
traffic, construction, alerts, and alarms.

Jesus,
You walked among us—
with sorrow in one hand
and joy in the other.
You received each day as it came
full of grief, full of grace.

Beyond the shame and pain for the world, 
In You there is hope and joy. 
We celebrate today the many gifts You have given to us: 
Our life, Your breath, the hope of the world.

We celebrate all You have done today 
And hold on to hope for all You will do tomorrow.

Jesus,
May Your resurrection
Incite a lifestyle of celebration.
The future reality of Your Kingdom
Has pierced into our present pain
And brought the hope of heaven
To our lives, families, and cities.

Father in Heaven,
You rejoice over us with singing
And put songs of deliverance on our lips.
You counted off creation in rhythm:
Night and day, rest and work,

Keep us attentive
To the holy all around us.
May we live today
With resurrection wonder.
